I know…that title doesn’t even make sense but it’s all that kept popping into my head as I read blogs and eliminated about one million unsolicited emails this morning…not really a million but by now you know I have a bit of an exaggeration tendency. I tell everyone that it comes from teaching young children for the 24.61 years that I taught!
Ok…casseroles first…according to the Kitchn these are the top ten for 2017! And look! I actually managed a link! The last one on the bottom is a Taco Casserole! The one with the French Bread slices is a French Onion Soup Casserole! OMG! The berry filled one is a Pancake Casserole!
Lots of YA blogs were filled with new fantasy for next year! I have some of these, too, which is awesome!
So…I have covered Casseroles as well as Fantasy…my task is complete! But now I am adding one more thing…a friend posted this…it is the Gazebo in the Park…Woodland Park…in McDonald, Ohio…where I grew up…I think he took it a few days ago! Isn’t it lovely?
And one more thing…it’s my brother’s birthday today!
Happy Birthday, Jim! Jimmy is the one in the tuxedo…that was his wedding day! He had a really rough health year this year! But he endured! He was strong. He was a source of strength for me this year. My mom and dad would have been so proud of him! All of the Littles in that photo have babies…some babies are not even babies any more! I think I was rocking short hair in that photo!
Hugs,
Patty
I like casseroles, and one dish meals. They are comfort food, I believe. Maybe that is just my upbringing, but it works for me! HUGS!

They are comforting…but not always as easy as I think they should be! Hugs back!

I do love casseroles…I may try to cook some again. My eldest son sent me his Green Enchilada recipe…which he always makes when he is visiting.
Love your family photo! And the gazebo is definitely a reminder of small town life.
Thanks for visiting my blog…and have a great day!

Thank you! It is beautiful isn’t it…we sledded there, skated there, had Girl Scouts there…and I was a park teacher in the summer!

I love the idea of casseroles but my family wouldn’t eat most of those on that list.
Our neighborhood has a central park with a gazebo a lot like that which gets decorated for Christmas. I love our little neighborhood.
I think I picked you out in that photo and you totally rocked that short hair. I love old family photos.

Now if someone made one of those casseroles I’d definitely devour them! Me – not much of a cook. I’ll read fantasy too but just a little here and there as a condiment.

Sounds perfect to me! If we were on the same continent I would bring you the casserole of your choice!

I have never made a casserole- but I have certainly eaten a lot of them. They are comfort foods. Maybe I should try making one in 2018. 🙂
I am always amazed at the unsolicited emails I get!
I hope your brother has a nice birthday and that 2018 brings great health to both of you. I am glad you had him as a source of strength.
Hugs!

Thank you so much! You need to try composing a casserole…they are more updated and don’t use any kind of condensed soups! You can do it!
