All I Can Say Is Brrrrr…

I have been trying to write this post ever since Friday…every time I sit down to write I get sidetracked, or interrupted or something furry falls and then starts limping…that would be Lucy.  And then another furry face starts crying because she wants us all together and some of us are upstairs and some of us are downstairs and she wants to round us up into one room…preferably my big cozy bedroom.   And that would be Roxie.

And ultimately this is what they want…us up there with them…in my big comfy pink and white ticking chair that is only theirs and theirs alone!  It’s covered with a blanket because they have a kitty heating pad underneath the blanket…no cold kitty toes in this house!  Lucy did have a trip to the vet on Saturday  for cold laser on her limp…which is due to arthritis.  She is scheduled for more laser next week!

Books!

OMG…read this in hours…literally!  I don’t think I have ever read a book with a more devious hateful creepy psychopathic narrator than Paul.  This book was so good!  This author is brilliant!  She literally became the voice of the worst man character ever!  I loved this book!

Now I am going to start this one…hopefully it will be more relaxing?

We are freezing here!  The only time I am truly warm is when I am tucked into my flannel sheets.  Last night Lucy and Roxie tucked themselves into our flannel sheets, too.  Den spends quite a bit of his time looking at the pipes in the basement.  Boys have carved out a hockey rink on the pond and it seems to keep getting colder and colder.  My body just wants soup…hot soothing soup…and hot soothing peppermint tea!  Yes!

This was to be my Friday post…but…it still is…sort of.

Back tomorrow with book stuff!

In the mean time…stay warm!

Hugs,

Patty

I know how Den feels I let a couple of faucets drip water so my pipes would not freeze. Also kept the heat up at night instead of having it lower. Finally today for the first time in 15 days we are above freezing.

Now I must move Best Day Ever up on my list…It is languishing on Pippa, and it is crying to be read.

Cold days are hard, and I feel guilty that our cold is much milder…but then we have really HOT summers, so I guess the milder days are the pay-off for the heat.

Those fur kids are certainly full of antics, aren’t they? I love that pink and white chair. I used to have an orange chenille chair that was great for reading. I lost it in the divorce…LOL.

    Enjoy your books! Stay warm.

Oh no…a chenille chair would be awesome. Yes…do bump up Best Day…you won’t regret it and it’s a fast book to read! My furry girls are always up to something…No matter their age!

We are so over the cold down here and, thankfully, it’s going to warm up this week. I have a new appreciation for people who live north of us after last week. Stay warm!

I think I have Best Day Ever and will try to move it up the TBR.

My beloved little Otter Pup is beginning to have more and more episodes of upset stomach. This used to happen to her once a year if we were out all day, etc. When we are out, she doesn’t eat until we get home but now that she is older, when she does this her stomach acids go haywire and cause her to feel ill. Last night again, we were up with her over her rumbling tummy. Today, she is fine. So I can relate to the needs of our furry family members.

Pumpkin seems to work for a little while. She was good last night and this morning it was pouring rain so after she got up with me she went back to bed. She just seems to have more and more of these episodes but there is nothing wrong with her!

What does the vet say? We give Lucy a quarter teaspoon of some white powder stuff every other day for tummy issues! It comes in a purple bottle…our vet told us to do it and it helps!
