I really do have a pixie cut at this point in time. It’s not the look I want but it’s finally the cut I have to have in order for my hair to grow up into the cut I want to have. I think I am done with long hair. This is the cut I want. I am not even close to that yet. Lauren T. is the best stylist…she can even cut my hair into a pixie cut while my tears flow…and flow…and flow…
Here is where I am…today…I can live with this…I think! I can go out without a hat. I can stop feeling sorry for myself. I can stop thinking everyone is looking at my hair. I don’t mean to sound vain…it’s just that my year last year was so hard. I am learning to step out of my sorrow…a little more each day. I am thankful when I have an ordinary day…a pixie cut…a stop at Nordstrom’s…a bowl of Singapore noodles…a kitty in my lap…all of these are good things…right? Yes!

Your hair does look soft, Patty. It’s cute now – and will be sophisticated when it grows to where you want.
Remember when you couldn’t read and wondered whether you’d ever be able to again? It’ll be the same with your hair – it’s coming. It was a terrible, horrible, no good year for you in 2017, but this year is already better. Good for you!!

Cute pixie. I love the forward bit in front. I’m in solidarity with you sister. I chopped off more hair yesterday. My hair was crazy in all of these lengths. I found a hairstyle on Pinterest that would what I call “reset” my hair. So my sides and back are lightly shaved and I have long bangs to the left which worked with my growing out, asymmetrical bangs.

Your hair looks cute. Short hair to me always makes women look confident.

Actually, a lot of people have your current cut right now. It’s in. I do love where it’s headed though.
I am sitting in my office with a thick sweater and a blanket and it is like the arctic in here!! Something appears to be wrong with the AC. I am one step away from seeing my own breath. Even my hot coffee turned cold in a matter of minutes.

I just got a haircut last weekend! Short looks nice on you, but why are you done with long? If you want that, let it grow back out! I’ll roll with you either way! Lol…Love ya!

What strikes me after reading your post, is the delight in an ordinary day, things once taken for granted that now have a specialness to them.

Yes, Kathryn…I led the perfect life…until my diagnosis…travel, friends, family…I was always grateful but probably I took things for granted, too. My life is forever changed and that still rocks me.
