So Many Books And A Little TV?

There are way too many television programs to watch.  Just to name a few…Gianni Versace ( starts this week )…The Alienist ( coming soon )…Mrs. Maisel, plus Chicago alone has three…P.D., Med.,and Fire!  Then there is all of the stuff on Netflix we could be watching…Den loves The Crown although we both hated Stranger Things.  Plus all of the reality stuff I love…Amazing Race, Project Runway, Top Chef and all of the ranting Housewives!  We still love Shark Tank, I love Blue Bloods, and I love watching Diners, Drive In’s and Dives!  It’s too much!  Den and I were chatting this morning about how it seems as though even though there is so much to watch we seem to watch the same things.  But in our defense…I don’t think we are total tvaholics because we both read while tv is on…is that multitasking or do we have a huge attention problem?  OMG…yet one more thing to ponder over.  Why do I find Law And Order or Major Crimes soothing while I read?  Help!

Over the weekend…I finished The Forgotten Book…started The Favorite Sister…and also read most of The Girl Who Drank The Moon.

The Forgotten Book is YA…it was mildly mysterious and kept my interest.

The Favorite Sister sounds really good…I read and enjoyed this author’s first book.

The Girl Who Drank The Moon is simply magical and lovely.  There is a tiny dragon, a very old witch, a swamp creature and a little girl named Luna with uncontrollable magic.  The author writes in a beautiful uncomplicated manner.  I am always happy when I pick up this book…but I am a little afraid for the characters, too.

Some new books…from Edelweiss…the first and the last make me want to not look at publishing dates and just read them now but I am trying so hard to read in a more orderly scheduled fashion!  I am not linking…my WP links are so messed up!

I made this on Sunday and we loved it…JoAnn…I am so sorry that yours was just ok!   I did add a few extra things because the sauce was too thin…tomato paste mostly…but ours was really good!  Maybe you have to make it when it’s freezing cold outside?  Den has requested it as a staple.

I loved Major Crimes…so sorry that it is over. I’ve only watched occasional Law & Order episodes…I’m afraid to add more things to my usual routine.

I loved Mrs. Maisel and binge-watched the whole Season I, and now we have to wait for another one…someday. At least I hope there is more.

Enjoy your books and your food.

I love The Crown, makes me what to go back and find out all about the history. I wish Mrs Maisel was on here, but its not. Maybe one day. I look forward to reading the latest Kristy WH and some point too.

I would like to watch The Crown and The Alienist. I’d like to check out Stranger Things to see what the hype’s about. The kid actors are really cute; two of my gf’s are hooked on that show. It’s hard though to juggle sitting here at the laptop and making time for Netflix.
How funny Den likes you to watch football with him. My husband watches highlights online. We used to watch as an ohana Project Runway during dinner and when it was running, Downton Abbey.

My husband and I tent to watch the same things every week. I always find Shark Tank fascinating. I haven’t seen Stranger Things- but have heard mostly good things. Interesting that you and Den didn’t enjoy it.

    Have a great weekend!
