Monday…A Busy Day!

I slept sort of late this morning but it’s because I woke up at 3 ish , grabbed my Oasis and started reading.  I am not even going to tell what I am reading…heeheehee…but it’s the book about the little girl who hates everything.  I can’t figure out if it’s a Stephen King kind of book or what kind of book it is.  But I am oddly drawn to it.  Hanna hates everything except her father.  Her relationship with her mother is scary!  And I can’t put this book down…yet…D2EC195F-82F6-4C85-ADDF-6E413B2CDD6F

This weekend…as we stayed home avoiding flu contact with everyone…I shopped a bit.  I have certain categories of clothes…as does Den…categories for home…for day away from home…and for going out…at night…at home we wear comfies…yoga pants, oversized long sleeved tees, comfy slouchy stretch bottoms…comfy relaxed fit stuff that can be easily washed and thrown in the dryer.  I used to hang all of my tees but I am so over that.  Here is a collage of recent purchases…I didn’t buy all of them…but I bought a representative selection. I literally live in tops like these…day in and day out…sigh!  I found this site called Open Sky…it’s fun as well as amazing…008F6A45-1D9A-436B-AA44-712EBE4538FB

We are now hooked on two new shows…Mosaic…starring Sharon Stone…so good…I think it started as an app but now it’s on TV…

And this one…is delightful!  I just want to hang with this guy…he is a producer and writer who travels the world eating strange foods  and talking to people.  He was the producer of Everybody Loves Raymond.  The best part of each episode is when he Skypes his parents…so sweet!  He is so sweet!  Huggably sweet!

There are things that I do that make Den cherish me even more than he does ordinarily…I did one of those things today…I made Pioneer Woman’s Sesame Noodles for him for lunch!  Thank you, Den!  These were made even better because we had leftover chicken from lettuce wraps that I made earlier.  Yum!  One of the routes to Den’s tummy is definitely these noodles…oodles of them!

Books!  Finally…books!  All of these babies came from my beloved Edelweiss!

Whew…writing this was exhausting!

I bet you all got some yummy books, too!  What’s your fave?

Hugs,

Patty

Love those tops…and the noodles….and I’m annoyed about the Edelweiss books, of course, since they are out of my reach.

But I did get The Alternate Side, by Anna Quindlen…today.

    I want Not That I Could Tell…definitely!

    Enjoy!

I’d probably pick up Death of an Unsung Hero first, because I’m a mysteries-kind-of-girl. 😉 But Sociable definitely intrigues me. I love stories about the interaction between people, especially between those not related by blood – such as workmates, as this book seems to be about.

    Those are comfy-looking tops!

Those tops look so comfy… that’s what I like to wear for home days, too! NO new books here, but I did start a book that’s been on my kindle for a while – Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller – and it’s really good so far.

Death of an Unsung Hero was offered to me but its book 3 or 4 in a series and I haven’t read the previous books. Have you? I haven’t downloaded the galley yet…
Does Phil eat bugs? I can’t watch people eating creepy crawlies.

Those are some gorgeous purchases, especially the grey ones 🙂
I’m currently translating Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices for the readers in my country, after finishing Philip Reeve’s Mortal Engines and sent them to the publisher 🙂
