Friday’s Fancies…

Fanciful events from this week…

Eating out…

We had a really snowy week…lots of snow on Wednesday and colder than normal temps for most of the week and another Nor’easter is predicted for Monday!  We usually don’t really get that much snow but lately…we are!

Today we had an appointment at noon and then went out to lunch!  We have a new fave and it’s name is Hearth Kitchen…Den had a martini…I had a yummy Cosmo…we shared grilled octopus, calimari and an amazing grilled cheese sandwich with French Fries…oh my!  We aren’t eating meat on Fridays…we scoured the menu for meatless stuff…

Bullet Journaling…

I am not giving up but I decided that I am bullet journaling…but mine is not in one notebook.  It’s in several notebooks…sigh!

OMG…my hair…

The photo is the entire story…curly…sticks up…my neck gets cold!  I can’t style it!

I call Den Dude…

No clue why and I don’t seem to be able to stop.  This is us during our first married year!  He’s a DUDE…

Patty and Den get new shoes…

London Fly shoes…stylish and comfy!

Yesterday’s lunch…

Food…

Made these slowcooker meatballs from Skinnytaste…they were amazing!

Made this overnight focaccia bread…it was fun to make and totally amazing.  It rises in the refrigerator and you never really have to knead it or even touch it other than with two forks.  The recipe is from Alexandra’s Kitchen.

My weekly events are kind of tame…actually not kind of tame but really tame…so…have you done anything not tame this week?  Tell me about it…please!

Wow, you and Den do look trendy (for those times), and isn’t it fun to look back? I like your curly top new look…enjoy just playing with it.

The food looks good, as always.

I will be reading Not That I Could Tell…really soon. Enjoy your weekend.

I love to buy coloured carrots too sometimes, not that their taste is any different 🙂
Why does the book need to know whether you’re vacuuming or doing laundry? Just asking 🙂
    Happy Weekend

I love your curls! They’re so cute. The grilled octopus and grilled calamari sound delicious. We’re just having leftover pasta with ground beef and TJ Alfredo sauce.

I bet your hair looks really cute. I love the picture of young Patty and young Den – you look so serious.

I was at my mom’s this week and that was pretty fun!

I wish we lived close – I’d get you up early to walk!

I know…I always think that when I read about your steps…I still get tired and I still give in to it…when I need to push myself harder. I had a feeling you were with your mom this week…aren’t you going to be glad when tax season is over?

Love that photo of you and Den!
Back home is getting winter full blast again too. They had 19* wake up this morning, we had 43* and Dave cut the grass yesterday! Love Tennessee, far enough south but not too far.
We went to Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC last Monday. Amazing house!

Oh…my…gosh! I love your hair! And the picture of you two is adorable!

On bullet journaling. Enjoy it. Don’t stress. Make it what YOU want it to be. In fact, all journaling is supposed to be personal, “yours”. I think it is interesting that you say, “Patty this.” or “Patty that.”, instead of I…

I always call Bill “Dude”. That was how George also became The Dude. Now, Clyde is the Littlest Dude….though he may outgrow George! ❤

Not That I Could Tell looks awesome. I want to get that one. And ha ha don’t you love old pics? They’re such a blast from the past… 🙂

Hearth Kitchen looks like a great place. Those meatballs are kinda making me hungry too.

The meatballs couldn’t have been easier…I don’t usually make them…they are kind of like an art form and mine are usually terrible but these are our new go to ones. I made mine out of bison. That book was really good!
