Wednesday’s Whims…

WHIM # 1…

I woke up today thinking about tacos…Den and I are on a quest for the best tacos in our town…because if I am hungry for something he is hungry for it, too.  I think we are getting take out…for lunch…yum!  And maybe we will split a burrito, too!

WHIM # 2…

On Sunday I was hungry for crispy not fried chicken.  I have already made these twice…it’s the simplest easiest baked chicken recipe ever…nothing but a light olive oil coating and seasonings…I randomly found this recipe at a food blog called The Salty Marshmallow!  Double Yum!

I am starting to really love the library for books I didn’t think I wanted to read…I was on hold forever for this one…it popped up yesterday and I am nearly finished with it and it is so incredibly delightfully good…takes place in NYC…my fave setting and is sort of a continuum of the book with Louisa and Will where he dies…you know…the one they made the movie about.  Plus…library books are my one true guilty pleasure…I don’t review them!  I read them the way I used to read…BB…before blogging!  It’s weird…as well as delightful…to read a book without thinking about how I will write about it.

WHIM #4…

I am on a quest to find this hard cider…I especially want the pineapple one and the orange one…the apple/orange one is the one I tasted and loved…it was not at all sweet…I think I would like it over ice…but Den frowned at that one…

Huggie earrings?  I even love the name!  When I taught I was just used to wearing different earrings every day but now that I am home more I rarely take time to wear earrings unless we are on an outing…but I accidentally found this trend…huggies!  They are tiny tiny hoops…I actually have 2 sets of them without realizing what they were…I have tiny gold hoops in now and I never have to take them off…I love it!  My other earrings miss me but that’s ok for now…I am obsessed…I totally admit to wanting the diamond ones!

That’s it for Whims!

What did you wake up thinking about today?

Over and out…

Patty

Ooh, now I am hungry for tacos! Should I go out and have some? Bring some home?

I also miss just reading and loving a book, not taking notes, and not having to think about a review. Sigh.

    Cute earrings!

Patty, your new blog is spectacular…I love the new look on all the photos you post. Word Press is so different from Blogger but then Blogger is free and I haven’t ventured out further from it! Your Whims are my Whims, and now I’m craving tacos!

I can’t tell you the last time I was in our library. Shame on me.

Our best selling cider is a pineapple cider, but it’s not that brand.

I can’t wear earrings anymore – my ears kept getting infected. I’ve thought of having them re-pierced because you know how I love my jewelry.

I like the library for the very same reason and I do the BB way as well. I think when you mention it in a post like this its as good as a review really, you are singing the happiness of reading it and surely that’s all that’s really needed. I liked Still Me as well, I listened on audio which always makes it a little drawn out as no skipping of words!

I use overdrive a lot – rarely visit the actual library. Although, I had to stop in a few weeks ago to renew my card. That way I can check out audiobooks and ebooks via overdrive. So easy!
Going to try the chicken thighs – sounds good and simple.

I guess putting hard cider or those kinds of drinks over ice dilutes it but that is how I drink them too.

I am always in the mood for tacos.

Today I have a weird combo for lunch because I didn’t have enough of one thing to eat for lunch. I have a 1/2 cup of chicken tortilla soup and grilled fish. Weird combo but still good.

OOH! Tacos!!! I want some, want some, want some. Maybe I can get my husband to take me to Rubio’s tomorrow. I like those earrings too. I had a pair like that but with VERY modest, little diamonds. I lost one 😦 though; it was my favorite pair b/c it never got caught in my cowls and scarves.
