All Is Quiet When It Comes To Squirrels!

So…it’s been almost four days since the “invasion of the squirrel” and we are reasonably certain that he is gone.  We left out the safe traps…we put a folded little rug in the doorway so he couldn’t get into the upstairs and we are breathing easier.  Our little visitor is gone!

Yesterday we had our one hour one minute drive to Skippack Styekrafters for hair appointments…it is raining and miserable here…and the drive is through busy highways…and then country roads…I took a Dramamine so the minute we walked in the door I showered and made the mistake of falling asleep for hours and hours and hours!  Our appointments weren’t until one so we didn’t even get home until after five.

I am slowly growing out my hair…this is where I want to be someday…

This is where I am…

Hair has to stay long on top in order to sort of drop down.  I have a hard time doing short hair…it’s not like I can pull it back into a twist.  Sigh! But I am thankful for hair…really thankful.  My goal is longer and messier!  I love messy hair!  Oh…we added a few highlights…seriously…just a few!

Yesterday was the third day in a row of just straight errands and running around.  It still wears me down…I still have stamina issues but stepping up my walking schedule should help that…I really just want to walk outside!  I need fresh air and big long steps!

Rain rain go away…for just a teensy bit!

So…yesterday…it was close to five and we hadn’t eaten since  early morning…avocado toast topped with an egg…yum!  Den and I were both cranky, tired and starving…so this was our answer…Dinner at Freddie’s!

Freddie’s!  OMG!  Probably so unheart healthy and the opposite of organic but so yummy!  Plus we had very small malts with dinner…mine chocolate…Den’s vanilla…so good…yet so bad!

So when I did wake up last night at 2 ish…of course wired after sleeping since 7…I needed something really good to read.  I wanted to read the newest Amy E. Reichart’s book but realized I hadn’t read the two before it…I loved her first one so I started Love, Luck And Lemon Pie…it’s already so good.  I may just read them all in order!  They are filled with food and angst filled relationship issues.  Just the thing for a rainy day…

I plan to not leave the house today.  It’s a grilled cheese and tomato soup kind of day!

So glad that the squirrel is gone!

I like your hair, but I also have trouble with short hair. When my daughter used to style it, I loved it. Then it would lie flat. LOL. Yours will grow into that cute photo you posted. Patience!

Some days a big greasy burger is just what we need! The food at the BBQ restaurant where I lunched with my “daughters” on Tuesday was that kind of place. (See my post here: MY BOOKISH/NOT SO BOOKISH THOUGHTS )

I have a copy of The Coincidence of Coconut Cake…which I have not yet read! I need to pull it forward on Pippa.

I love the highlights for summer! So cute. I had my hair cut a few times to chin length in the front and stacked short in the back. It was super cute but it was way to much to manage. I learned that I am a pony tail girl. I didn’t like having to do my hair for everything.

I think we are getting your rain now! It started yesterday and supposed to rain through next Wednesday! I hate that!

The hair you are going for is the haircut I have now but it’s really hard to keep up. I go every six weeks but really need to go every 3 weeks to maintain that length.

I’ve not read any of Reichart’s books but all of those covers are great and they all sound pretty good.

I plan on letting mine be curly wavy and messy. Plus I don’t have to look polished every day the way you do! Heeheehee! I will be the messy sloppy version of Ti! Her books are so relaxing…and food filled…that’s why I love them!

What a relief to know your little visitor has departed! I read The Coincidence of Coconut Cake but so far no more of hers. Your hair looks great, and as you say its good having hair!

Ooh, I like your hair! I know what you mean about short hair, though. My hair has been on the short side for decades. It’s too course and wavy for me to bother with. I’m sure other people would want to bother with it. Maybe I’m lazy. I read Coincidence… – it’s about my city! I live in a suburb but still – fun to read about squeaky cheese and the festival grounds on Lake Michigan. I need to read another of her books. Glad the squirrel is gone!

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake was a sweet, modern romance. Your hair is growin’ good. If you have a flat iron, you can make small curls. You can also twist a small bunch in front and pin it.
