Lovely Books!

I did finish all the books that I wanted to finish last week.  Now I am in the middle of this one and I love it!   Wines, wineries, and all kinds of other good stuff.  It’s a perfect book for a hot humid muggy summer day!

Our shower fell apart last night.  I never know what to expect when I hear Den’s cry of alarm.  It can be anything from we are out of coffee to the entire shower crumbled in my hand!  This time it was just the actual shower head breaking…and Ron The Plumber is on his way to fix it.  Den was at Lowe’s early this morning getting a new shower faucet thingy.  Hopefully we will be fixed soon!

I want another reading plan for this week because the plan I had last week actually worked.  I deleted every game on my iPad except for Word Chums…I stopped watching Alone and Sharper Images…whoopsie…I mean Sharp Objects…I loved that book but I totally hated the series!  Ick!  Plus I think the Bachelorette gets engaged tonight and I already know who her fiancée is…so that frees up more reading time.  I was obsessed with this weird Cooking Crazy game…so much so that I actually spent money and bought spoons to keep on playing!  Yikes!  All deleted…I want to get back to reading three to five books per week…teasing but more than just two.  Today promises to be a disastrously busy day because…new kitty sitters were coming for a Lucy and Roxie Meet And Greet,  Ron is coming for the shower and Den is prepping his study for his new desk and shelves and stuff…finally!  I can’t even look at his study…everything is off of the walls and in bins until the furniture comes.  Sigh!  I hate disorganization.

I think I want to choose from these this week…but I have not narrowed my choices down yet.

These just arrived in my email from NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and Aria…

Plus I really need to score this one…

“Tracey Garvis Graves has crafted an incredible story with a unique premise and characters you’ll want to root for. The last thirty pages had me on the edge of my seat. This book is beautiful.” —Colleen Hoover, #1 New York Timesbestselling author of It Ends with Us and All Your Perfects

“The most riveting, rewarding, refreshing novel I’ve read in years.” —Barbara Delinsky, author of Sweet Swalt Air

“Tracey Garvis Graves is a must read author.” —Taylor Jenkins Reid, author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

It sounds so good!

I am off to see what everyone else is reading and add more books to my lists!

I loved Believe Me, which means you’ll probably hate it. (I love Sharp Objects!) LOL.

An Anonymous Girl is on my list, as I thoroughly enjoyed The Wife Between Us from this author duo.

Sold on a Monday is one I’ve been eyeing. Enjoy your week, and may nothing further falls down.

Hopefully everything will come together easily and you and Den can relax in organized comfort. Yikes on the shower! I really want to read the Miriam Parker novel. It sounds so good.

I’ve been seeing great reviews for Something in the Water, and I’m expecting a galley of the 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I look forward to reading your thoughts when you get to them!

That happened to our shower a year or so ago, but I was the one to get hit on the head! I see than Ron the Plumber already has a new one installed… that was quick!

The Girl He Used to Know sounds good… just read the description over at goodreads. They have a giveaway going on now, too!

Love those Goodreads giveaways but I never win anything! Ron The Plumber is amazing! His wife is going through cancer and he knows I did so he always puts us first. I want The Girl…desperately!

I know…the house thing…I read somewhere that you can easily spend a thousand dollars a month on maintenance for a house! Every time our plumber comes…which has been a lot lately…he asks us why we need this big house…but…we don’t know how to move on!

I love Sharp Objects. It’s actually my favorite book by her and I was so excited it was made into a series. I’m actually loving the TV series and so is Bill.

I just got an Anonymous girl today and am really looking forward to it! I’m sure you’ll read it before I do!

I probably will because you are still in your reading slump…lol…I don’t know why I didn’t like the series but we only watched the first two…I really wanted to love it because I loved that book. But I read it when it first came out…maybe that makes a difference?

The Shortest Way Home has a beautiful cover. So glad you got the reading you wanted to get done last week. Hope you come up with a good reading plan this week. 🙂

I haven’t read any of the books you are looking at- but so many of them look good to me. Enjoy!

When you stop your main job….like me…you will have huge amounts of time to read and write. I am trying to come up with a kid’s book about Roxie Blue and a Tonk friend she has named Duncan. I have a million starts but no middles and no endings!

The Shortest Way Home looks fun! Bright cheery cover. And Believe Me and An Anonymous Girl both lok like good thrillers (I just saw a good review for An anonymous Girl somewhere). Kiss Her Goodbye looks like it might have possibilities too. 🙂

Sorry to hear about the shower head breaking! Ack. Hate it when those things happen…

Oh I know how addictive games can be! My oldest plays Work Chums and she’ll sit out here on the couch and me too or me here in this seat and we’ll play back and forth constantly.
