I am seriously stuck on reading one book this week…and it’s this one. I am surprised and totally pleased with its pace and intensity. The writing is really good, too. I know that this author has written quite a few books but I don’t think I have ever read any other than the one I am reading now. And part of it takes place at a book festival!
I also got a lovely surprise book in the mail today but I will share that on Monday.
We haven’t done much this week…my scared feelings are still there and that makes me want to stay close to home. We might go out to dinner tomorrow but we shall see.
I am literally swimming in books…I can’t even think about what to read next. I need this to be a long quiet week end filled with reading. I should be reading these…
But I need to do some bootie shopping. I have narrowed it down to one of these. I love the black ones in the middle the best.
Usually I have all kinds of ideas about what we will eat over the weekend but…stress makes me unhungry. I think I am having strawberry ice cream for dinner…maybe some salad to balance it out. And that’s as far as I am getting with food stuff. We have been eating lots of salads this week and tons of vegetables…maybe we need something decadent…or another salad and more ice cream. This ice cream comes in cups and is locally made. Den bought strawberry and cream, toasted coconut, chocolate and s’mores. I wonder if we will fight over it. Hmmmm…Den just confessed that on the way home he had a child’s cone with a scoop of s’mores…so by default the s’mores is mine!

I like that last pair of booties with the leather weaving. Sorry the scared feelings are still around but I understand. Do this weekend what makes you happy and what makes you feel safe.

I love the booties on the right. I got a nice coupon from my favorite shoe store today. I don’t need any shoes but I’ll have to buy some to use that coupon. They know what they’re doing. 😉

Hope you enjoy a quiet weekend and can keep the worrying in check… I have a feeling you’ll get good news next week! I’ve been doing some online shopping – ballet flats, black sneakers, and sandals, plus a couple of summer tops on sale at Chico’s. Even got a pedicure yesterday since I’m feeling indulgent. It was just what I needed. Maybe you should get one this weekend! I’ll be thinking of you 🙂

I am getting a mani/pedi on Tuesday…I am ever hopeful for good news. I feel better today. I guess it helps to share my thoughts a little instead of closing everyone off? Shopping is great therapy!
