Cozy reading nooks! I went through my house this morning and took pix of all the places that could potentially be cozy reading spots…my favorite one is taken over totally by Lucy and Roxie…I rarely get to see my pink and white chair…only when we change out their fuzzy blankets…about every three days. We have a huge stash of these soft blankets…my two girls love them! We have prints, pink ones, white ones but their fave is this ugly gray one…who knew?
Once it gets really warm…Den and I both love sitting out on the deck…occasionally watching the ducks and geese on the pond…and reading. When it’s warm we try to sit out there at least twice a day. Another cozy reading nook!
Books!
I finished House On Fire and started this one late last night…it has a good start but I haven’t read enough of it to form an opinion…yet.
We had these incredible Mexican Salad Bowls for lunch. Mine was loaded with chicken and beans and rice and cabbage and pico de gallo and avocado and cheeses…yum! It’s run by a local family and they have an ice cream shop, too! Kennet Squarers are crazy over this homemade ice cream. They have extraordinary flavors! They close in the winter and just reopened last week! Since we were so good at lunch we are having a homemade ice cream bar for dessert! Yum! I may need more ice cream tomorrow!
I wonder who is hungry for some incredible ice cream now?
Patty
I’m not an ice cream person but there is an ice cream place like that here where people stand in a long line to buy their ice cream. Can you believe we’ve never been there?

I can’t believe that only I won’t stand in line for ice cream…that’s why we got bars because they sell them at their grill, too!

Mexican Bowls are so good.
You have many reading spots to choose from. I like the leather chair. Although the one the girls took seems to be the coziest.

It is…it’s sort of like the leather chair only in my room in all of its pink and white glory!

I love those reading nooks…so comfy, and so many! I also liked sitting on a deck…when I had one. Now I have a patio, but it’s too hot in the summer and windy and rainy in the winter.
Enjoy your books. I enjoyed In the Blink of an Eye.
I also love ice cream, but stopped buying it for the house a while ago. Sometimes I have it when out in a restaurant.

I love all the reading nooks.
It’s still too cold for ice cream. Soon though.

Patty thanks for all the photos of your cozy nooks and the quilts – of course I came over to soak them all up. Love them.
