A Dreary Day But A Fun One!

I have not been out to a movie since September!  It was just so much safer to stay in away from germs.   But we are venturing out on this rainy day to see this!  I can’t wait…recliner seats, foot rests, restaurant style foods!  I am finally able to go out and I can eat sushi again!  I am so excited that I can’t be contained.  I am making Den crazy!  After the movie we will zip to Weggieman’s for sushi and maybe even carrot cake!  I really need to calm myself down.  I will be on a new drug…something called a PARP INHIBITOR.  I have not even started this new drug yet. It’s so new it’s not even at a pharmacy.  Yikes!  My body has to accept it…plus it’s incredibly expensive which totally freaks me out.  Common issues with this new drug are nausea and extreme fatigue…which I am used to but if it does what it’s supposed to do…it will keep the bad cells away for a long time!  Den is already cheerleading me that I have to fight through the fatigue!  I am a little bit scared…I have to admit…what if it doesn’t work?  These last six months of chemo have hit my stamina hard!  Breathe, Patty,  breathe!

Books…

So…I will finish this today…totally creepy but also totally addictive!  This married couple with two kids are serial murderers.  They worry about their kids, eat organically, kids aren’t allowed to have much sugar and then the parents go out to hunt down women to kill.  They call sitting in their car in their garage talking about these killings DATE NIGHT!  Really creepy but unputdownable!

I do have some obligation books to finish so I need to focus on them over the weekend.  I have started reading all of these!  My bad!  But I have been so distracted this week!

So…I am off to read…and wait for movie time!  have a lovely weekend and I will see you on Monday!

Hugs,

Patty

Enjoy the movies! It sounds lovely, with the reclining seats and food

I think I’ll skip My Lovely Wife, but I’m reading about serial killers lately, too: All the Wrong Places and now Before She Knew Him.

    Have a great weekend.

The movie will be fun but the sushi will be even better. That is a real milestone! TRY not to worry too much about the meds. Let’s see how they work.

I think I was having a bit of a real meltdown this morning…I am much better now…movie was awesome…I had warm pretzels in super saucy cheese dip….sushi was a pick up for later. How sick is it to be so excited over raw fish? But Wegman’s sushi is amazing!

Oh I do hope you enjoyed the movie and the sushi. The new meds sound promising but with a cost. I hope it balances in favour of the good it can do. Fingers and toes crossed.

Captain Marvel was so good! I hope you enjoyed it too. Sushi, hmm sorry no I couldn’t put a piece of raw fish In my mouth let alone swallow it. A friend of ours has battled hormonal breast cancer and thought she licked it but it metastasized to her bones. She is trying a new drug, but I don’t know the name, that doesn’t cure it but stops it from growing. It is very expensive too. But it is working!! She’s doing great on it. It is the second one she’s tried. The first one had too many side affects.

Hope it ain’t an alien drug, those…. you know,… can turn you green and glowing in the dark… not that we are judgemental towards the green ones….
