I can’t believe I am saying this but it’s a beautiful sunny warm day. Farmers’ Markets are showing off local strawberries and peonies and green things. The one we love is in Emmaus…every Sunday morning! I want to go! Did you notice the Blue Bread? Sausages? Asparagus Tart? Cupcakes? Yum!
We have lots of time to decide. This great weather is making everyone so happy!
I finished this book…it was a lovely beautifully written book about a closely knit Irish family dealing with Alzheimer’s as well as other family secrets.
I am reading these now…
I gave my rice cooker to my sister because I wasn’t using it and then I missed it but found this one at my old buddy Amazon! Great reviews and on sale! That’s the only shopping I did this week other than buying a Senior Litter Box for Lucy…and Senior Litter…I swear there is something to buy for every kitty life stage!
Oh…I did buy this dress. I can not resist toss on dresses!
Have a great weekend! See you on Monday!

Enjoy your weekend! I’m still not really blogging much…sigh. Reading, visiting doctors, having home health nurses and physical therapists stop by…and trying to adjust.

That is quite a change for you. And it reminds me of the weeks after surgery when I just wanted my life back. Take care…thinking of you!

And what is a Senior litter box and litter like??
Issues with my Hula and her hips/legs. She’s using newspaper on heavy duty vinyl.
Nico loves his Litterbot, so did Tallulah and Boo.

Go to Amazon…Senior Litter Box…it has really low sides and a low entry because most senior kitties have arthritic hips and it hurts them to raise their little legs high!

Looking forward to The Favorite Daughter but mentally preparing for how close to home the description sounds…
I need to get some rhubarb!
The dress is darling!
Have a lovely weekend 🙂

Thank you! I know what you mean…my mom went through it but this was not as sad as it could have been. Thankfully!

I’ve never used a rice cooker, but it must be a lot easier than cooking it on the stove! So glad the sun is shining and you are thinking about the farmers market… strange that the one here ends in a few weeks and starts back up in October. Your books look good and the dress is so cute. Enjoy the weekend!

Thank you. A rice cooker cooks perfect rice every time. It’s amazing.

Enjoy what promises to be a good weekend. That market just looks very very inviting. I thought I might need a rice cooker but I live alone and seem to be able to cook a small amount without one. As I think i said before really looking forward to the Patti CH book, I have bought so many books lately, eyes bigger than my reading ability!!

This one only makes two cups which is perfect for just the two of us. I know what you mean about books! Have a lovely week end!

I’d probably try to cook millet in a rice cooker as I much prefer it to rice especially with garlic and red lentils! It is getting warmer here as well, and also strawberries at the market along with spring onions!

Yes. I will cook other grains in it. I have decide that I don’t like quinoa but I love farro and barley.
I love spring onions and pea shoots and garlic scapes and ramps! We did score local strawberries today, too!

I cook quinoa like risotto with shrooms but I always take care not to put too much water because quinoa gets nasty when too wet. But my favourite grain is millet, it is so light for the tummy and so tasty and creamy with garlic, celery leaves… and vegeta (find it in the international section of your store).

Yum! I bet you will be surprised to know I onow what Vegata is! Isn’t it used a lot in European cooking? Soups and stews? The little eyes in quinoa bother me. I will try millet!

Mmm..all that crusty bread. Bread and potatoes are my favorite carbs. I’ve been binging on The Great British Baking Show as you know and season two was about yeast and breads.
