We did not have power for parts of yesterday and all night…we went to bed with power but woke up without it…it must have happened early in the night because the house was freezing…the refrigerator was warm…but after more calls to my brothers…Den woke me up with my favorite mug and favorite coffee. So…I am calling this my $1600.00 cup of coffee…give or take a few dollars…lol.

Patty, so glad you made it safe…what a devastation this storm has caused all over NYC and your area as well; probably worst! I've been thinking about you and worrying since I saw the bad news last night on TV.
Who would've thought that this particular Hurricane/storm would be so 'widespread' and cause so much damage and loose lives? We have absolutely 'no beach' in S. Florida… all the way across the coastline! Glad you're safe:)

Thank goodness Den got that generator going. Being in the dark with no outside connection–and cold! is the worst. Glad you guys are ok.

What a cup of joe! We lost power from Monday at 7pm until today around 4pm. Back to school tomorrow and I am glad I can have heat and a warm shower again! Happy to hear that Lucy is feeling better. 🙂
