So…

I didn’t read any of the books I planned on reading this week. I finished The Yard and picked up and read A Good American in a day…
I had no intention of reading it this week but once I started it I just read it until I was done! It was really good…spanned a huge period of time…and was sad and happy and absorbing. Den was away…it was raining…and with my new laundry system in place…I had time!!!
Then I randomly chose this one from my Vine stack…it’s really good, too.

So…quite a surprise!


I did decide on shoes…these…they are so soft and comfy and look different in person!
You have to trust me on this one…they are spunkier on…now I want more by this company. They are walkable…I can even hop and run in them…again…trust me.

I also bought these…love them!!! Love shoes that I can just slip on and go…these are semi walk able…if I concentrate and watch where I am going. No running, no hopping…just one step at a time walking.

So…I am weak!!!

    Everyone loves A Good American!

    The shoes are adorable, but my hopping (in anything) days are over.

    It's supposed to be nice here this weekend, but not summery hot – only 75 tomorrow and 82 on Sunday.

    I just twisted my ankle jumping over a huge puddle trying to get to lunch. Monsoon conditions in So Cal right now. Unbelievable! Flooding everywhere. My point… those shoes would have killed me.

    I haven't read A Good American- but I am glad it was a book that made you want to keep reading. I love your description of it! Great shoes- glad you can hop in them. 🙂 Comfort is always important. What a sweet picture of Lucy!!

    Wow I don't know Patty. What do you do? A book reviewer?; a writer?; a fashionista?

    Those wedges are completely adorable. Of late I've been dreaming of dancing to Abba's nos in a frilly frock and ribbons in head and was struggling in my mind to fit my feet into some good shoes. You've resolved my fix!! Now I can choreograph my steps in mind and dance away!

    And I was strangely reminded of Pearl S Buck when I saw the books and made to wonder why the markets here never had them when I so much wanted to read them!
