Kale…It’s What’s For Dinner!

The problem is that I have three times the amount that I think I need!

And the moral of the story is…never tell “someone” to pick up kale if you don’t specifically state…not the curly kind…and exactly how much!

No matter how many pans it takes…I am sautéing every bit of this stuff tonight…I think it is multiplying in the vegetable bin!

In fact I know it is…

Reading this…werewolfie, a little scary, a lot good!

Lots of pounding rain today…pounding…it’s weird because our new roof has a different sound…rain pounding sound…than our old cedar roof…it does!

I just read an article that said people hate it when you say Happy Whatever Day It Is…but I can’t resist…

Happy Tuesday!

I am off to wash a mountain of lovely kale!

You can bake kale and make kale chips! So yummy!

Even though you have a lot, it cooks down to nothing. Like spinach. I like it best sauteed with olive oil, some crushed garlic, a splash of balsamic vinegar and a dash of crushed red pepper. Pile on top of polenta and sprinkle with freshly shaved Parmesan.

Mmm, Kale. I like Kale. One veggie I like cooked, it holds up in the heat a lot better than other greens. On my own, I usually just remove the stems and cut it up and put it in the salad. My mom did a recipe that had kielbasa in it I think, but I don't remember where she got it. I think it would be good in Italian Wedding soup instead of spinach, but we've not tried it yet.
