What is this? A coyote? A wolf? A fox? It is making us really sad!

I have no idea what that is. To me, it looks too big to be a fox and its tail's not bushy enough to be a coyote. I'm certainly no expert, though.

It looks like a fox with mange. I don't think it is big enough to be a coyote, although they are known to be in our area. Whichever it is the poor thing is pretty sick.

I used to see animals like this in the foothills where I lived for thirteen years…it looks like a fox to me. But we also had coyotes….in either case, I don't like the look of this one!
I have never read anything by Julie Kagawa.
I'm reading Kristina Riggle today (Real Life and Liars); loving it! Now I want to order more from her. Last month I read her novel Keepsake.

I am not sure what that sad animal is. It doesn't look very healthy whatver it is. Sort of looks like a mix between a coyote and fox. The tale and head have me leaning torward fox…

I am thinking it is a very ill coyote, possibly fox. It is hard to tell from the picture. Usually you can tell a fox by their tail tip & feet being darker/black. Males get tall, but elderly young or ill, can cause it to seem smaller. It could be mange, but it could be a host of other diseases. I recommend you call Animal Control. It needs help.

Wow! Amazing how you captured the photo of the coyote…which is in the 'fox' family! Would not want to be out there…or my kitty, to come into contact with this creature!
