Monday is always my day to put the fun and relaxation of the weekend aside and gently put our house back together…laundry, dusting, fun stuff…but it gives me a sense of…hmmm…order?
Yes…and I love order!
Reluctantly finished this…and it was a lovely book…the words of this author are so beautiful…so touching…so real.
Can you tell that I loved this book? The thing about reading so much is that I always think that I love all of the books that I read and I do…but then every once in a while I read a book that is so quietly lovely that I am overwhelmed by it…literally gobsmacked by it…and I am incredulous that I have never read anything by this lovely endearing amazing author before. This is the kind of book where I read about the author and I read the acknowledgements and the preface and still I can’t get enough of it all!
Kathy…you were so right! Plus it ended my start/stop streak!
Buona Lettura!

Ugh laundry and dusting, two things I'd rather avoid on a Monday, well any day really LOL

Patty, I seriously would love to read this interesting book…A Place at the Table…just by looking at the cover. I was reading The Winner Stands Alone by: Paul Coelho (thrift find book, .79) nearly half way done. Nice and cosy reading at the fab hotel where we were staying in Orlando!

That does look like a good book! Chores are endless; it is good to take a break with a good book!

I do love books that are “quietly lovely,” and there is nothing like them. Elizabeth Berg does that for me…and now I must try Susan Rebecca White.
I got two new Vine books yesterday…and yay! Pretty covers!
Someone Else's Love Story, by Joshilyn Jackson and MaddAdam, by Margaret Atwood.
Every time I open a box from Vine, I hold my breath: will it have a pretty cover?
