Wednesday’s Whims…

Today Den and I had hair appointments at our usual place…we take our usual one hour and one minute drive to Skippack to let Lauren T. and  Sarah work on our hair. Mine actually got trimmed and styled and it looks like I am wearing a snug hair cap.  It has too much gray in it…I think Big Chemo aged me big time…but I can’t color it for a while.  Lauren T. Is like my hair therapist…she calmly lets me cry over my long lost long locks and puts me in the reality of my very short hair.  I bought some stuff to make my eyelashes grow, too.  It better work!

We were starving on our way home so we stopped in Weggieman’s pub and had cheeseburgers and Tuscan fries…so delicious!  I needed this cheeseburger.

We also didn’t feel like cooking dinner so we are having Weggieman’s Sushi for dinner and since sushi is such a light dinner we could not resist Weggieman’s iced sugar cookies for dessert.  This is why I love Weggieman’s Sushi!

Their iced sugar cookies…OMG!

Finishing up this book…it is really good.  Intense, well written…fast paced!

I think I am going to read this next…

We are showered and sipping big mugs of hot cocoa with those darn organic marshmallows melting in them…but in this they taste good!

Have a wondrous Wednesday!

Hugs,

Patty

Now I want a cheeseburger, but I’m too lazy to change and go out to get it. I wish I could find a place to deliver one. Sigh.

I am glad you are enjoying outings now…and while I’m not a sushi fan, I know that it is a treat for those who do love it.

    Have a great evening!

You do! My hair is almost a normal short cut…but I personally need it a little bit longer. But at least now it’s not sticking up in odd places! I am learning how to actually style it! Thank you for saying that!

I am glad you have such a good hair therapist! It is hard to lose your hair because it is so much a part of who we identify with (our identity). I am glad your hair is growing and that eventually you will feel more like yourself with the style.

My mom’s boyfriend (of 27 years) just cut his hair very short since he had his first chemo treatment last week. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. He is almost 60 and has a very full head of hair- so he has been feeling concerned about losing it all and even feels different with his new very short hair.

So- seeing how he feels is making me send extra hugs to him and to you. 🙂

    Your lunch looked delicious!! YUM!

It should be hard for me to talk about my short hair because this has been such a difficult year and I realize how blessed I am…but hair matters…I have never had short hair like this so I don’t appreciate what I have the way I should. I am really trying, though. Thank you for your kind words!
