Confined To Quarters…

So…even if I wanted to go out I can’t.  My white blood cell count is down and I have to stay away from crowds, malls, theatres, schools, big box stores, stadiums, arenas, bull fights, parades, night clubs and concerts…sigh!  I can’t eat sushi or any raw food and I can’t have anyone over who is sneezing.  Prewashed salads should be washed again and now I have a fear of raw carrots!   Den is freaking out and we have hand sanitizer everywhere.  He has to stop shaking hands in church and be totally debugged before he sees me!  My next step is Neulasta which can be incredibly painful…in spite of the tv ads that make it out to be almost fun.  Right now I am trying to convince Den that each blueberry doesn’t need to be washed separately.  So…for me…lots of reading, tv, movies and WordChums.  And roasted vegetables.  Meticulously scrubbed before roasting.

The kitties are on guard and sweetly sticking as close to me as possible.  They either sense something or I have a fever and they like my warmth.

Other stuff…

Den dragged the boxwood and the fern into the sunroom this week!  I used to have a huge tree in the pot where the fern is but Den had to chop it down!  It was literally losing leaves hourly and was very bare.  I couldn’t look but Den said the sunroom was a disaster when he was chopping.  I don’t even know if a boxwood is supposed to be inside but we are trying.  This fern was on our protected front area all summer.  It grew to be a huge plant!

Books…

Finished these…

Reading these…

We are supposed to have a rainy windy weekend!

Oh, I hope you move beyond this phase soon, but I like how you listed all the things you had to avoid, like bullfights. That made me smile.

I want to read The Suspect and The Mother-in-Law. Off to find them!

Have a great day. I love your sun room.

I hope the nor’easter isn’t too rough on you this weekend. You have a lovely place to hunker down. Praying the WBCs are back to the numbers you need very soon.

Beautiful plants too! Hope they do well in those spots. Thinking they should!

I’m sorry to see you’re white blood count is down. I need to stay away from you. I went to the doctor Monday for a follow up and came home with some kind of crud. I haven’t been running a fever but I’m congested.

That fern is huge. I’m sure I’d kill it if I got hold of it.

I’ve been away from the computer this week, but you’ve been on my mind. Your sunroom looks lovely and I know you have lots of books and movies to keep you busy, but I do hope this part passed quickly!

Sorry to hear that your WBC are low…. that sucks! However, it looks like you are warm and getting lots of attention from your cute kids:) I love your plants. I never thought of bringing my ferns inside after taking such good care of them over the summer. I will try that next year. I had a boxwood inside for several years and it did great. It finally got brown and I threw it out, but it lasted quite awhile… for me that was good! Hmmm…. The Mother-In-Law sounds interesting. I wonder if it’s the story of mine😳… might need to check that out! Hugs to you …. praying for you and so are my church adoration prayer warriors! 🙏🏻

Oh Gretchen! Thank you so much! I usually toss out my ferns at summer’s end, too, but this one…a $7.99 wonder from Costco…was huge! I couldn’t bear tossing it! How is your brother? I pray for him, too. I literally pray for everyone. Take care and thank you for staying in touch. It means a lot to me!

Ouch to being in quarantine certainly no fun and I agree I bet adds fool about the Neulasta. Den has been busy with the plants getting them out of the cooler weather. I need to read Sally Hepworth’s earlier book or two. I have read one.

Are you free now? Or still in closed quarters? That dreaded Neulasta. I hate it so because of what it does to you but I’m sure the doc would not prescribe it if you didn’t need to have it. It has to be doing something good.

I am at work today. Just catching up on emails and tidying things up. I get here at 6am and no one else comes in until 9:30-10 because everyone here is late and takes advantage of things. It’s a pain because I can’t get stuff done and they always want me to do things when it’s time for me to go. I just leave though. LOL.
