Friday Fun…

If we don’t plan dinner out for a Saturday Night Date Night…we usually go out to lunch on a Friday afternoon.  Lately I love Saturday nights in as much as I used to love them out.  A restaurant literally 5 minutes away is where I love to go.  It’s the first place we went to when my hair started growing in…I feel safe and comfortable there plus the food is awesomely good.  Today we opted for drinks, a wedge salad that was amazing…it was different from the usual bacon loaded creamy dressing wedge salad…this one had yummy apples in it.  We also had an artisanal pizza…and a lemony something or other for dessert.  We split everything and brought pizza home.  I love Hearth Kitchen!

I just finished this…loved it…

Next I am reading one of these…

Over the weekend I want to make this taco salad from halfbakedharvest and these Bluebery Oatmeal Muffins from The Recipe Critic.

I have no major plans or even minor plans for this week end…right now I am reasonably boring.  Oh…we still have to put all the Christmas stuff away.  I am surrounded by staring Santas.  I should knit, too, since I made all that fuss over my missing needle and I ordered yarn and more needles.  I should knit!  But actually picking up a needle and finishing my scarf seems challenging right now.  Plus the needles are so big that my arms get tired after a few rows.  I am still boring right now…aren’t I?  Don’t answer that!

So…I am off until Monday when I will be back with lots more books!  Hopefully I won’t be this boring for a while…hopefully.

Yeah, while fatter yarn knits up quickly, managing the needles is hard on a knitter’s hands. The pizza sounds yummy; I’m really picky about mine. I only like pesto sauce and thin crust.

I shouldn’t have looked at those Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins before breakfast… now I’m starving! Nothing too exciting for me this weekend either – need to do some heavy-duty cleaning today and I have a pedicure scheduled this afternoon. Maybe church later on, then we’re trying a new recipe for orange chicken in the crockpot for dinner. Hope to get some reading time in today, too. Enjoy your peaceful, quiet weekend!

Your wedge salad sounds tasty and those muffins you want to make look AMAZING. It is sold cold out right now and I have a lot I should be doing- but with the cold I am having a hard time getting motivated. 🙂

Hope you have a lovely weekend and if you knit a little bit- great. If not- the yarn and needles will wait.

Ooh artisanal pizza- that sounds good. 🙂 And I find that I enjoy staying in now almost as much as going out, which is kind of nice. It’s good to relax on the weekend haha .

Those muffins look delish! And yes Truly Devious- I really liked it too!

    Have a great weekend!

I liked Truly Devious a lot! I can’t wait for the next one…the pizza had sopprasetta and fire roasted peppers on it…and that thin lovely crust that only a pizza oven can manage. I love relaxing…probably way too much!

I love a good taco salad.

Knitting is supposed to be done in spurts anyway? Right?

Your food the other day, the pizza and wedge sounds so good. I am a little hungry right now. I made delicious chili last night but was all upset about my battery dying that I didn’t enjoy it. I have it for today’s lunch though.
