A Very Bookish Monday…

I spent my weekend relaxing and reading and watching my newest obsession…Hercule Poirot!  I am also excited…sort of…to watch Game Of Thrones and even more excited to watch Discovery Of Witches.  I finished Stranger Diaries yesterday…I read while Den watched the Masters…I really want to read more of this author’s books…I loved this one…I am not sure what I will read next…I have some great books to choose from…and yet I can’t decide!

New books from NetGalley…

New books from Edelweiss…

I really am so tempted to read the Deborah Crombie book now.  But I will try to wait. I was out of a reading mood…I couldn’t decide what to read…I started and stopped books but now I can’t wait to dive into my next book!  As soon as I choose it!

We needed to zip into Costco this morning for a new electric toothbrush…mine decided to stop working.  Then we zipped into Wegman’s because they make a European sandwich on a baguette with soft cheeses and crisp lettuces and sun dried tomatoes…and I think some kind of Italian salami…it’s so good but we ate late so I can’t imagine dinner.  However Den snuck a baby chocolate cake into our cart so we just might have cake for dinner.  These look like they are free floating!

So…that’s my day…it is so windy and cold here today that I am freezing!  It’s not sunny and it’s wet and just miserable!  I am feeling really good…no weird side effects from the PERP PILLS…so far.  It’s been quiet because the dormer guys are not pounding on the house today…I think they will be here all week…it’s taking a long time to put up new dormers…there is barely one done!  There is another dormer behind the tall pine tree that isn’t done yet either!  Every piece of wood is being torn out and replaced with new wood.  I did not realize how labor intensive this was.  They might have been blown off of the roof if they came today!

I am off to choose a next book, post a review and read!

We had a horrible storm with winds like that yesterday – a tornado even touched down in our little town.

My eye is not quite back to normal so I’ve been doing better with audio books than print books.

I’m so happy you’re feeling good!

    Chocolate cake! Yum!!

I got a copy of Seven Letters today from NetGalley. Dear Wife looks good…I’ve enjoyed Kimberly Belle’s writing.

I hope your weather improves. I had to pick up meds at Kaiser and waited in line for two hours!!!

The chocolate cake looks so yummy. I hope whatever book you picked has caught your reading attention. Love those dormer windows. Hope you continue to have no side effects.

Thank you so much! We love the dormers, too….they have lights in them at Christmas and they look really pretty. I actually started the Deborah Crombie book and it has started out really good. I am sort of reading The Editor, too.

Having a bunch of promising books to choose from is a good problem to have 🙂 I hope whichever one you pick, it turns out well!

As soon as we get back to NY, I’m going to but one of those little chocolate cakes from Wegmans… I’ve been craving a slice all winter!!

PS – Read your goodreads review of The Stranger Diaries this morning. That’s definitely one for my list!

the perfect dinner – chocolate cake! My kids couldn’t agree more haha.
I read all souls trilogy a while back – a discovery of witches is the first book – and it was a great read. Never read a game of thrones, or, to be exact, dnf’ed ealy on the first book.

I can get on board with cake for dinner.
The weather has been ridiculous and hard to take after a week on the beach. I came home Saturday night and on Sunday six inches of snow fell!. Ugh. It’s gone now because the temps are in the 50s – yay. I hope the dormers are finished up soon. I hate having work done on the house but always glad to have it finished. Enjoy your reading this week!

I need to read the new Deborah Crombie (unfortunately Edelweiss isn’t in agreement with me…sigh!). I do have the newest Ann Cleeves from NetGalley. Not quite the same…but good also.

You guys always have something going on at the house! I hope the dormers are finished quickly.

Soft cheese on crusty bread. Drool. I will imagine what this tastes like.

Today I am hurting all over. Something is going on with me but not sure what. I am going out to lunch today. Maybe for some Greek food. Maybe soup. Not sure yet.
