This week has been filled with trees and lights and books and cookies and snow! We are going to have tons of snow! It seems as though all we have done this week is run around and buy stuff! Trees and stands and lights and candles and a few new tunic-y turtlenecks and now we have just come in from Weggieman’s because we are going to get snow…starting tonight! The four of us are so excited! We have bagels and creamed cheese and smoked salmon ready for breakfast and Christmas mugs ready for coffee! We are ready! We aren’t leaving the house tomorrow…we are going to watch it snow, unpack more Santa bins and watch TV! Yahoo!
I finished this gem yesterday…and then started this one…so…The Perfect Nanny is a French translation which was odd but kind of mesmerizing. And this Krista Davis book? OMG…it’s a series based in a town called Wagtail and a B&B where you can bring your pets…I am in love already with the town and the concept of this book and the foods and the people and especially Trixie and Twinkletoes…dog and cat respectfully…they wear Christmassy outfits…everyone drives around in golf carts and since this is the Christmas season everything is festive! Something about this time of year makes me want to devour these easy read books!
This author also has a “Diva” series, too! Just look at all of these titles! Plus there is even a coloring book! I am obsessed with these books! And I am not even that crazy about the covers!
Plus I have these yummy middle grade books to read this week end…magic, fantasy, danger…a tantalizing mix of all three!
We are showered, kitties are snuggled…I have a yummy vodka rocks next to me…a Weggieman’s Roasted Chicken is ready for dinner and a gingerbread man for each of us…for dessert!
Have a wondrous weekend!
See you on Monday!
Hugs,
Patty
It sounds like you are all ready for a snowy weekend! We will be staying in too, but lots of company is on the way since we are celebrating my son’s birthday with the family.
The Girl Who Drank the Moon looks fantastic. Hope you enjoy it!

We had snow today and some of it stuck but we’re not happy about it. It hasn’t snowed here in December since 2010.
You need to open a B & B like that!

Now wouldn’t that be fun and way too much work?

We woke up to a couple inches of snow so I guess winter is here. Love the look of the gingerbread cookies but not sure I’d have the patience or talent to ice them like that. Love your tree!
