We had a fun afternoon watching another new Marvel movie…this one! It was highly entertaining…Den pretty much giggled the entire way through the movie! With Marvel movies everyone knows to stay until all the credits roll because if you don’t you miss something really important. In our recliner movie theatre it’s easy to do…it’s so relaxing that it’s hard to leave.
Since it was our Movie Date…we zipped into Weggieman’s for two Easy Dinners…Den is having some kind of Chicken Something Or Other but I am having Pulled Pork, Green Beans and good ole’ macaroni and cheese! Den is planning on the last piece of Key Lime Pie for dessert. I am kind of full from popcorn…sigh!
I am reading these books over the weekend…unless the weather is so nice that I get distracted and we decide to do something else. Which can sort of easily happen. Den and I both have nonexistent attention spans. We are always ready to put tasks off until another time. We have cancelled electricians twice this month because we didn’t get new outdoor lighting even though we had plenty of time for movies. I will try to postpone the dentist on the 23rd…just because it feels like we just got our teeth cleaned. When we both worked we were so disciplined but now…not so much! It’s just too much fun to be undisciplined…but…truthfully? I am the one who undisciplines us…nearly everyday!
Back to books…almost done with Broken Promise…loving Spinning Silver…this author knows how to rework a fairytale in a wondrous way…and the Summer List…totally absorbing…two friends who haven’t seen each other in years, a mystery, and a Scavenger Hunt! It’s so good!
So…just chilling out after showers and before dinner…lots of cooking tonight…heeheehee…and perhaps we will watch Endeavor or Alone…while we play Word Chums! Den and I play each other and are kind of even…we play my sister in law who slams us both every time…I love Word Chums because it’s sort of a more fun faster Scrabble…you get to choose a “bot” and it is kind of animated…cheering when you get a good word and stomping when you get a bad one!
Off to challenge Den! See you on Monday…you guessed it…with more books!

Those dinners look good, and so does Broken Promise. I do like reclining at the theater…although I haven’t been to our deluxe theater in a while. I usually go to the one in my neighborhood. They will have reclining seats before long, though.

Movie dates are fun! We’re having a lazy day today… reading and relaxing, then we’ll probably go see the Mr. Rogers documentary at 5 and get dinner afterwards. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I think my teenager plays Word Chums. She got me into Wordscapes. I also play good, ol’ Solitaire and Word Search.
