Today was hair day…that one hour one minute drive we take about every six weeks. I sent Den without me. I just couldn’t deal with a two hour two minute car ride to Skippack and back. I am still tired and still Neulasta sore…I just want to curl up in bed with my books and Murder, She Wrote. I hate for Den to drive all that way alone but I just could not handle it today. I am only up for staying at home.
I have been mostly reading, playing Wordchums, watching The Bachelor act stupid and semi shopping!
I bought cute Birkenstock Ballet Flats…so comfy!
I bought Patchology patches to smooth out my skin! Feet, eyes and mouth corners!
I discovered yummy new recipes…from Skinny Taste and simplyrecipes and Damn Delicious…slow cooker Lasagna Soup, Crustlee Quiche and Burrito Bowls.
I finished these books…
I started this one…I love it…I actually forgot how much I love this author’s work…beaches, Maine and a big pitcher of iced tea. I can lose my achy Neulasta self in a book like this!

I’m the same way with Katherine Hall Page’s books – I forget in between just how much I enjoy them while I’m reading them!
Don’t stress about skipping SkipJack. Taking care of yourself is of prime importance right now. So, do it, girl – and do it without guilt! HUGS

Some days are meant for curling up in cozy places…and “vegging” out. Nurturing ourselves. Take care and enjoy.
I love the look of the food, especially that Quiche; I’ve never eaten crust-less Quiche.
Enjoy those books…I’m going to check out The Body in the Wake.

Crustless Quiche shaves off tons of calories! I am definitely in a relaxed mode today. I think you might love this author’s books.

I’m sorry you weren’t up for your hair appointment and hope you’re raring to go soon.
I ordered two pairs of summer shoes – one in narrow and one in slim. The narrow ones were too wide so I had to send them back and request a less cute pair. 😦

Oh no! We don’t like a less cute pair!

I’m so far behind on blog reading again & just catching up with your weekend. Sorry you are still Neulasta sore and had to miss your hair appointment. Hopefully you can reschedule soon. Also catching up on food blogs and I pinned the slow cooker lasagna soup this morning. It’s getting even warmer here and I haven’t made soup in a while, but that just sounds so good. Glad you’re able to lose yourself in a book today 🙂

I think I might have to make that soup tomorrow! Den just came home with pasta and a yummy salad so I am feeling better. My book helps, too!

Sensible to know what you can cope with and what not. Looks like you still made good use of time and that food again looks so yummy!

Too long of a drive for you to endure when you are sore. I’m sorry you had to give up on a hair cut though because I know how much you cherish your do!
I have been swamped and putting off stuff in a grand way. I have all this paperwork to do just to be chaperone for the theatre festival. I have to get a TB test, take 5 hours of sexual harassment training, get fingerprinted and background checked, get a DMV check AND pay $85 of my own money for this privilege. Seems wrong to me. I am already cleared by my church to work with kids but noooooo. More paperwork.
Plus, we got our taxes done and the results are not good.

Oh no…we are thinking the same thing about our taxes…I had to do all of that just to substitute when we first moved here but $85.00 is a nasty hit!
