That’s my play on NOMOROBO…the service that stops scamming phone calls after one ring. But I love hearing my phone announce about 8 million NA ME UN A VAIL A BLE calls. We usually get 4 of these at 8 PM and then we are through until the next day.
So…the weather…I feel so much for people in the path of the hurricane…my neighbor just built a beautiful beach house in OBX…they have no clue what will happen to it.
Here? Dreary dreary weather that totally fits my mood. I need some sun!
Reading these three books…The Dinner List is lovely…the night Olivia fell…I can not put down. Lies, daughters, scandal…this book is deliciously written but you need to get around the sad part…a 17 year old daughter is brain dead but being kept alive because she is pregnant…it’s the law. This isn’t a spoiler it’s up front in the book from the start. This book is so good! I have added Give Me Your Hand because I loved what Kathy said about it.
Sad fact…I do not have these books…YET…but I want them! I have set a devious plan in action to get them! Shhhh…it’s my sneaky plans and clever tricks way to get the books I must have! Rain? You might like all of these except the first one…for obvious reasons.
Fact…I will never read another Stephen King book again. I thought it was a normal mystery for him but it scared me to pieces. No more SK for this reader!
This will be a quiet weekend…we have an anniversary on Monday! I continue to pray that life is good!
These two are invited to our very small anniversary partay! Lucy Grace likes adornments. Roxie Blue…not so much!
Hugs!
Patty
Oh, I hate those scammer calls! Apparently the DONOTCALL register doesn’t stop them! I occasionally still get one from the IRS scammer! I recognize the number.
I just added Give Me Your Hand to my list.
Enjoy your weekend!

If the area code is from around here, I know it’s usually one of the kids’ schools, doctors, or dentist. Otherwise any other call if it’s unidentified doesn’t get answered and ends up blocked.

Ours stop after one ring but they change their numbers so often that blocking is useless.

Wait a hot second… you read King? Why did I not know this??? I know, because I’ve been chasing my own tail all week long.

Oh, the cover of My Lovely Wife 🙂
I don’t answer calls that aren’t ID’d. I figure if its someone I know on a different phone they’ll leave a message. No one ever does! Stupid robo calls.
I hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend.

Thank you! It started off with a great cup of coffee and a pumpkin donut made by an Amish bakery!

I feel the same way about Stephen King – I read Carrie 40 years ago, thinking it was “just a mystery” . . . I didn’t touch another King for decades – but I did make an exception for 11/22/63 which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Salem’s Lot, Carrie, and Cujo scared me to death! Pretty much stopped reading King by the time I turned 30. The girls look adorable.

I hope you like Give Me Your Hand as much as I did. I thought I wanted to read The Outsider but think I’ll skip it since it scared you. I’m sending hugs your way!

Thank you…I literally skimmed the last part. It was not a book I am happy to have read.

Seeing kitties at play made me smile. I saw one of his movies as a kid, the one about the crazy dog, and I totally freaked out. My uncle then had tried to explain to me about movie effects, etc. I didn’t care. I was still scared.
