Sleeping My Sunday Away?

I slept yesterday but I also watched 27 Murder, She Wrotes.  Den watched football downstairs…the girls stayed with me in the “apartment” and seemed to get very excited whenever they heard Jessica’s opening theme.  Lucy sprawled on my pink an white ticking chair…Roxie stayed with me flopped on Den’s pillows on our big bed.   We seem to have a wealth of extra furniture that I can’t bare to part with so I slipcovered this chair and moved the more manly one to Den’s study…where he loves it and it looks perfect.  Actually Den wouldn’t let me help him move one thing.  When I woke up everything was done.  He wanted to surprise me!   Finding my beautiful pink and white chair under those blankets is nearly impossible but without the blankets it would be a cat fur mess.

I think that I was just exhausted from last week.  Even though I didn’t have true surgery…just procedures…I was still out and had to be somewhere almost every day last week!  That meant hair, makeup, outfits…shoes!  And a bubbly personality!  Today Den asked me if I planned on ever washing my hair again!  I guess even shiny red lipstick doesn’t hide dirty shaggy short hair…sigh.

Now Den is outside planting mums and placing pumpkins…I am still so tired I can’t help yet.  Sigh!

Books!  This book is simply delightful!  I have always loved the humor and the illustrations of Lane Smith!  This sweet giraffe cannot understand why his neck causes so many problems!  The illustrations are charming  and it will be so much fun to talk out these problems with the child you are sharing this book with.  Jory John and Lane Smith will not disappoint.  This book is enjoyable enough to read again and again!  This book was sent to me by penguinrandomhouse.

I might have to get a copy of Giraffe Problems for my granddaughters. I think we’d all love it! I love your pink and white chair. Den, you’re a prince!

I had anesthesia once when I had an ovarian cyst removed and I am sensitive to it. I slept for almost 5 days afterwards. Just couldn’t stay awake. Now I have to tell the anesthesiologist that if I am having a procedure. Maybe you are sensitive too.

Kathy..he is amazing…he does too much. He loves food and I can’t bear to look at it right now…we thought we had a routine figured out but it’s gone by the wayside.

      The book is really lovely!

Sleep and rest and repeat sounds like the order for now. Yes chairs would need protection from all those hairs. Smiled at Den’s comment about your hair! Oh the giraffe book looks such fun.

Yes…it’s the best chair for everything! That’s why we have two…but this one is the oldest one and I could not part with it…a lovely really good slipcover with ruffles solved the problem!
