Out Of A Fog…

I feel as though I have been stuck in a foggy place for the last 48 hours.  I have been hot and cold. I have fallen asleep while Den was talking to me.  I ached.  I hurt.  But I knew nothing but sleep would get me through this until I woke up on Monday morning.  And here it is…Monday morning!  Den just brought me coffee…which I could not tolerate over the week end…and he is making us avocado toast.  After not being hungry I am really hungry…and in spite of not feeling well I finished my book.  It was sad and moving and totally captivating.  It was about two Irish policeman and their families who live next door to each other. One family is open and friendly…the other family is closed and secretive. The families are involved in a traumatic tragedy that affects both families for the rest of their lives.

Unfortunately it’s not due out until June!  My bad!

Anyway I feel so good today.  So good!  Thank you for cheering me on!  I am me again!  Yeah for Patty!

New books from NetGalley!

New books from Edelweiss!

Den is making tomato soup and peanut butter crackers for lunch.  I will start cooking again soon…probably later today.  I am so hungry for this Yellow Cake from Alexandra’s Kitchen.  I even bought tiny baking pans…just a tad bigger than my easy bake oven ones were.  Yum!

Have an awesome Monday!  We have snow and most likely will be in until Wednesday!

I’m glad you are feeling better. I also have Because You’re Mine, but I won’t be reading it until closer to the release date. I don’t like reading a book until I can actually post my review.

That cake does look very good…and tomato soup sounds wonderful.

    Have a great day.

So good you woke up Monday morning ready to join Den and the kitties again. Wow lots of books, you get through so many of them in spite of not feeling well at times.Ha, laughing that you read a June published book, talk about time travel. You are amazing.

You are so gifted Patty, a brilliant reader, writer & illustrator; a generous soul. I can remember the happy young people cutting and pasting away with all kinds of colors, designs, and drawings in your room. Learning! Living! & loving! I am so happy to read that today is a great day for you & that Dennis is cooking while you mend. xoxo

We have a gloomy day here today. Yesterday we had freezing rain and church was closed. Glad you are feeling better. I had tomato soup for lunch myself today along with peanut butter on my 35 calorie wheat bread. Yum.

That damn Neulasta. I’m sorry you had such a rough time of it this past weekend.

That cake looks good. I am not much of a cake eater but that one looks good. Today I have baked potato soup and an apple for lunch. Not that glamorous but it will suffice. Tonight is my life group and it was supposed to be a Galentine thing but they didn’t show any interest in making it special so I am just bringing an artichoke dip that I make with loads of mozzarella and we will dip tortilla chips and be happy. We’ll see what the others bring.

I wonder why they didn’t want to make it festive? More festive…Den is fighting traffic to get to Panera’s and Costco. The Panera’s Cheddar Broccoli Soup finally got to us and snow or not…we both need to have it. I feel as though I have come through a war after a shot of Neulasta. It’s amazing how bad it makes me feel! Have fun tonight no matter what. Your dip sounds yummy! So does your lunch! Did you make the Baked Potato Soup? I want to cook but I can’t just yet…

That cake looks so yummy. My mom brought us a cake yesterday, well half a cake. I love when she is in the mood for a baked goody but knows she won’t actually ant it all and brings us some. I don’t bake often myself.

And on a side note, when i’m feeling tired, i try to stay clear of sad books. try something funny – they’re mood lifters.
